LA Investment Capital Oil & Natural Gas Fund I is a private equity investments fund investing in North American oil and gas
companies with assets worldwide, including ownership interests in undeveloped leasehold, exploratory prospects,
development drilling and producing oil and gas wells, as well as entities controlling oil and gas assets.
LA Investment Capital strategies invest in North American oil and gas companies with assets worldwide, including those in
the following categories:
Prospect Generation & Exploration - 3D seismic shoots, undeveloped leasehold, "ready
to drill" exploratory prospects.
Exploitation opportunities - Development drilling opportunities, undeveloped leasehold
in mature resource plays.
Production Opportunities - Production-based acquisitions
Investments are primarily structured in two ways:
1) Direct - own and control working interests as a non-operating owner, or 2) Indirect -invest through an intervening entity
(which in turn owns the oil and gas assets - both operated and non-operated) and control the investment as equity
provider. The structuring decision is dictated by the needs of the underlying asset. The Investment Committee manages
each investment decision through multiple stage gates to ensure capital discipline before the initial investment decision,
as well as after, to limit exposure to unsuccessful projects and increase allocations to successful projects as appropriate.
